Finance & Administration Committee

The Finance & Administration Committee meets on a quarterly basis. It performs the following tasks:
- Drafts the annual budget & Precept
- Reviews income & expenditure
- Reviews quarterly budget vs actual income & expenditure
- Monitors the Council’s finances
- Monitors the Council’s investments
- Verifies Council Assets
- Endorses the year-end financial statements
- Reviews & responds to the annual Internal Audit Report
- Reviews & responds to the annual External Audit Report
- Reviews the Council policies and procedures
- Carries out an overview of the Council’s administration
There are eight members of the Finance Committee.
Planning Committee

The Planning Committee meets as required, usually once/twice a month. It performs the tasks and its powers are limited to those of a Statutory Consultee:
- Reviews applications submitted to the Planning Authority: South Downs National Park Authority for the majority of the Parish Area
- Submits comments on Planning Applications as a statutory consultee
- Assists the planning authority with the enforcement of Planning Regulations by submitting enforcement reports/queries regarding unauthorised development activity in the Parish
Property, Highways & Environment Committee

The Property, Highways & Environment Committee meets quarterly. It is responsible for the provision and maintenance of the Parish Council’s property as well as all matters pertaining to:
- Highways
- Van Common
- War Memorial
- Cemetery
- Footpaths
- Village Green
- Children’s Playground
- Bus shelters
- Public Seats
- Public Toilets
- Public Rights of Way
- Street Lighting
- Road Safety (in general)
- Grit Bins
